MILO thanks all the feedback, launches the improved version of ‘New Paper Straw’ under the slogan ‘For our Kids, for our Planet’

MILO, the world's leading chocolate malt beverage, has produced a more robust version of paper straws to meet the needs of every group of consumers, especially mothers and children across Thailand. Consumers can now enjoy the familiar taste of MILO with an improved paper straw, which was developed under the concept “For our Kids, for our Planet” after reviewing consumer feedback. With the new paper straws, consumers can have a better drinking experience with every flavor in the MILO UHT product group while helping to protect the environment. The improved paper straws will be distributed to the market from July onwards.

The new MILO paper straw is more durable than the previous version and can endure moisture longer than ever. The bottom tip of the straw is also now pointier so it can penetrate the MILO box easily. The new paper straw is recyclable and safe for consumers to use, as it's made from 100% virgin paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The MILO paper straw is made with materials from renewable paper sources and is sustainably managed, and this has helped reduce the use of plastic straws by more than 600 million since 2020

Mr. Chaiyong Sakulborrirug, Business Executive Officer, Dairy and Adult Nutrition, Nestlé (Thai) Ltd., said, "MILO would like to thank all of our consumers for the advice and suggestions they gave on our previous paper straw version which we officially launched in 2020. This is a driving force that keeps us striving to further develop and improve the quality of our paper straw and provide consumers with the best MILO drinking experience. This also plays a crucial role in protecting the environment. Our slogan “For our Kids, for our Planet” aligns with the global trend of developing environmentally friendly initiatives and reflects Nestlé's sustainability commitment to reduce negative environmental impact by helping to develop a better world for future generations."

MILO also released a video clip titled “MILO thankful for all the advice to develop a better paper straw” on MILO Thailand’s YouTube and Facebook channels to thank all consumers and highlight the importance of every feedback. MILO took note of all the suggestions and feedback to develop improved and sustainable paper straws that meet the needs of its fans, as well as mothers and children all over the country.

MILO would like to invite all consumers to take part in saving the world with its new paper straws that are more durable than ever, available on every MILO UHT product.
